I’m here to help you enjoy being more playful, vibrant and grounded as a parent.
Hi, I’m Shruti Kumar
I believe the way we are parented shapes far more than childhood. It influences how we see ourselves, build relationships, navigate conflict, trust others, and understand our own worth.
That is why this work matters so deeply to me.
When I became a mother, I discovered that parenting is one of life’s greatest invitations to grow. It is beautiful, humbling, exhausting, and deeply transformative. Our children delight us, stretch us, and often reveal the parts of ourselves that are asking to be met with greater compassion.
To me, one of parenting’s greatest gifts is the opportunity to raise ourselves while we raise our children. We become more aware of the stories we carry, more intentional in the values we choose, and more present in the relationships that matter most.
When children grow up feeling seen, safe, soothed, and secure, they carry those experiences
into every relationship they build. They become adults who know their worth, care deeply for
others, and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
My own journey into this work unfolded while building a life far from home. I moved from India to the Netherlands in 2015, and like many of the families I now support, I experienced the joy and complexity of raising children without the support system I had imagined. Along the way came postpartum depression, PTSD, and life transitions that deepened my understanding of how profoundly our own wellbeing shapes the way we show up for the people we love.
Before becoming a certified parent coach, I completed my Master’s in International Law at Leiden University and worked as an international lawyer in The Hague. Today, my work brings together child development, attachment research, neuroscience, mindfulness, yoga, and practical tools to help parents build relationships rooted in connection, emotional safety, and mutual respect.
More than anything, I want parents to experience the kind of relationship they imagined when they first held their child. One where they genuinely enjoy being together. One where boundaries and connection exist side by side. One where repair feels possible and everyone in the family has room to be authentically themselves.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me on my yoga mat, wandering through a forest, tending to my plants, or listening to my two children ask wonderfully impossible questions about the moon, the stars, and the universe.
Thank you for being here.
